Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer same day storm debris cleanup?
You bet we do – as long as it’s safe for our crew to get out there. We know that after a storm hits, you want that debris gone ASAP so you can start getting back to normal.
Need debris cleanup right away? Text a picture to (317) 384-4006 or call directly. If weather conditions are safe, we can usually have our team rolling your way within a few hours. If not, we’ll get to you as soon as the weather clears.
Not in a rush? Request a quote online and we’ll schedule a time that works for you in the future.
How much does storm debris cleanup cost?
Our storm debris cleanup pricing depends on a few things:
- How much debris are we talking about ?
- What kind of storm damage – fallen trees, roof materials, general yard waste, etc.
- How accessible is the debris? (some areas or types of terrain can make debris tricky to reach)
- Where you’re located in our service area
Most customers pay between $200-$500. Request a quote and we’ll give you an estimate up-front – know what you’ll pay before we haul it away.
Is the government responsible for storm debris cleanup?
Good question. The government/FEMA may provide relief after a major disaster. You can check with your local government or FEMA responses to see if your area qualifies for assistance.
If you need faster assistance or if you’re not sure if your area qualifies, you can always hire a private contractor like Atomic Junker for storm debris removal. FYI, Government programs typically won’t reimburse you for hiring a private contractor. But you’ll get back to normal on your timeline, which might be worth it.
Are there types of storm debris you can’t clean up?
Most storm debris is no problem for us, but there are a few situations where we’d need to call in another specialist.
- Anything to do with utilities – if debris is tangled up in power lines, touching electric equipment, etc, that’s a job for an electrician. Once the utility folks give us an all clear, we can clean up what’s left!
- Felling trees – We are not a tree removal service! Once those trees hit the ground, though, we can haul away branches, logs, or other debris.
Should I call you or my home insurance first?
Great question! Here’s what we’d recommend:
Call your insurance company first to report the damage and find out what’s covered. Some policies may even cover debris removal. Then call us for a quote so you know what you’re looking at cost-wise.
What happens to the storm debris?
We’re all about responsible disposal, even when dealing with storm debris chaos. Here’s our storm debris disposal process:
- Usable materials get salvaged – good lumber, metal, and other reusable materials go to local organizations when possible
- Organic debris like branches, leaves, and yard waste will get composted or mulched
- Recyclable materials like metal roofing or siding will be processed properly
- Everything else goes to appropriate disposal sites, typically a landfill
Do you offer free storm debris cleanup estimates?
Of course! All storm debris cleanup estimates are free, with zero obligation. Text us pictures of the damage, call our team, or request a quote through the website.
